Ruby celebrations

Ruby celebrations were underway this week at Adare as production facilitator, Janet Shaw, celebrated more than four decades of service to the company and a lifetime dedicated to print communications.

Starting out in a finishing job working on the factory floor, Janet has experienced first hand an industry that has seen many changes over the years and one which continues to transform with revolutionary technological advances.

At the age of 15 she left school and headed straight into a new career with family run firm, Hirst Buckley. In the years that followed she worked her way up to become a valued member of the production office and saw the business grow from less than 100 people to a 1000 strong team as Adare took over the reigns and continued to expand the company.

In a presentation from the Board of Directors Janet’s loyalty and dedication to the company was rewarded with gifts including tickets to see a top London musical and a television.

Janet said: “Over the last 40 years I’ve been lucky enough to work in an industry that never stands still. Everyday is a new learning experience and I’ve acquired many new skills and made plenty of good friends along the way.

“Adare has always succeeded in keeping a real family feel to the business. Even as the company continues to grow and more people come on board, we all pull together to help each other and work towards the same goals. I hope to continue working for the business for many more years to come!”

Adare’s Chief Executive Officer, Robert Whiteside, added “Janet’s loyalty and commitment to the company is outstanding: having said that she’s really a new kid on the block in Adare terms as we’ve had several members of the team who’ve done 50 years, would you believe! Just 10 more to go Janet!

“Adare offers inspired marketing and customer communications and this inspiration comes from each and every one of our team who are experts in what they do. People like Janet offer unrivalled knowledge and experience that is pivotal to the growth of the business and key to developing the next generation of industry professionals.”
