Adare on target in The Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250

Following a significant year of development for Adare which has seen the marketing and communications business further strengthen its offering through acquisition, expansion of its geographical footprint and investment in new technology; Adare’s success has been recognised for the second year running with a placing in The Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250.

Top Track 250, sponsored by HSBC, is compiled and published by Fast Track in association with The Sunday Times and recognises Britain’s top-performing private companies and the entrepreneurs who own and run them. In this year’s edition of the prestigious UK business league table which ranks Britain’s biggest mid-market private companies by latest sales, Adare was ranked at 231.

Mel Egglenton, KPMG, quotes in his article in The Sunday Times, “It is clear that the leaders of Top Track 250 businesses are not afraid to initiate change in order to drive their ambitions forward.”

Egglenton continues, “All the businesses in the Top Track 250 will have overcome many challenges and celebrated countless achievements to earn their rank in this listing but I am sure many will already have their sights set on delivering the growth needed to see their company ranked higher or enter the Top Track 100 soon.”

Robert Whiteside, Adare’s CEO said “We are delighted once again to be featured in this prestigious listing.  Since our HBOS-backed MBO last year, we have disposed of 4 companies that were no longer aligned to the Marketing and Customer Communications proposition that we are now delivering to our clients on an International basis.  Whilst our position in the Top 250 may have reduced slightly because of our disposal strategy we have fundamentally changed the direction of the business from a group of fairly disparate print-based businesses to a single integrated communications solution provider that has creative services, data solutions, e-sourcing and multi-media communications at its core.”

Whiteside concludes, “We will continue to evolve our offering to ensure that we are perfectly placed to meet our clients’ marketing and customer communications needs.  In the last year we have significantly expanded our international footprint, invested heavily both in expanding our multi-media communications centre and the creation of a suite of e-commerce tools that are genuinely changing the way our clients communicate with their customers.  We are currently finalising our investment plans for the next 12 months and some of the options we are considering will allow us to significantly expand the range of solutions we provide to our clients.  Our ranking in the Top Track 250 is further proof of the strength of our offering and we look forward to delivering further innovation to our clients moving forward.”

Alice James concludes on behalf of The Sunday Times, “Regardless of their ownership or industry, the Top Track 250 illustrates that Britain’s private mid-market businesses can move with the times to grow and remain strong.”

This is endorsed by Adare’s ongoing evolution and development as a leading, international marketing and customer communications organisation which Adare hopes will be reflected in an improved ranking next year and inclusion in the Top Track 100 in the not-too-distant future.
