Adare signs mutli-million pound deal with Whitbread

Whitbread, the UK's largest and fastest growing hotel and restaurant business, has entered into a £multi-million print, merchandise and data management deal with Adare, following an extensive tender process.

The contract will support the marketing departments across Whitbread's market leading brands - Premier Inn, Beefeater, Table Table, Brewers Fayre, Taybarns and Costa Coffee - and covers marketing print, point of sale, menus, signage, direct mail, operational print and merchandise. In addition, Adare will be responsible for managing Costa's Loyalty Member database and application process.

The service will be delivered through a dedicated on-site team at Whitbread's HQ in Dunstable who will be charged with driving operational and process improvements as a fundamental part of the contract - this includes the creation of a detailed profile of all 1,500 outlets across the UK through the deployment Adare's award-winning MC2 portal.

One of Whitbread's key drivers through the tender process was the need for long term transparency and procurement integrity across the broader supply chain - both of which are delivered in real-time through Adare's P2 e-procurement platform.

Steve Ueckermann, Adare's Executive Director, Outsourced Solutions comments "We are absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to build a long-term relationship with Whitbread, one of the UK's largest companies. Through the tender process we have really come to understand the specific requirements of all six brands and we are excited by the challenges and opportunities this presents, particularly considering Whitbread's growth plans both in the UK and Internationally over the next few years.

We have invested significantly to truly evolve our model and are delighted that the unique combination of our consultative account management interface and the incredible power of our P2 procurement engine has moved us ahead of the field to secure this contract."

Paul Clutton, Head of Procurement at Whitbread adds "We have been through one of the most exhaustive procurement process I can remember to ensure that we engage with the right Marketing Services organisation moving forward. In Adare we believe we have found an ideal partner - aside from its technology and completely open approach to procurement, the engagement of their on-site team with our Marketers was absolutely critical in our decision. We are confident that not only will Adare deliver the first class service we demand but they will also introduce real innovation to challenge the way we think about our Marketing Communications."

Robert Whiteside, Adare's CEO concludes: "We are delighted to have secured this contract with Whitbread - as a business, in the last two years, we have made a significant investment in the solutions that we deliver and this contract, combined with the awards that we have recently secured and the continued expansion of our global footprint, confirms that we are on track for another successful year."
